I was just at a cool hypnosis convention and the top award winner for being one of the greatest hypnotherapists was spotted outside smoking!
What in the sam hill is goin on here?

Hypnotherapists are human too. But that is no excuse.


Since I turned 50, I have gained weight, not much, but it seems that despite my best efforts and exercise I gained a pound here and there. And I truly believe that if I didn’t have my mad brain skills that stop hunger, cravings and overeating, I would have gained 50 or more pounds. My hypnosis skills keep things in check.
But we still have these metabolism changes that happen to most everyone as they get older. And I have been 20 pounds heavier than I like.

So I posted about it on Facebook. I started the HCG diet and all is going well. Greatest diet plan ever. You can learn more about online.

Anyhoooo… this diet is only 500 calories a day. And before you scream OH NO THAT IS SO UNHEALTHY, just take a deep breath.
The HCG causes you to absorb 2000-3000 calories of fat from your body. And that my friend, is a good thing.

An extremely good thing.

I was at the coolest place last weekend- the Longevity conference. David Wolfe is amazing and really inspires people to eat healthy and eat raw. We made insane tonics, smoothies and seaweed soup.

I bought some medicinal mushrooms and now I make tea out of them. You wanna taste funky town? Make mushroom tea. That will funkafy your body and mind. Jing!

I met Dr. Mercola. He is really cool in person. Fun, full of energy, happy, inspiring. He is telling it like it is and willing to be honest about the deception in the food industry, pharmaceutical fraud, and about a million other things. I hope he is reading this and knows how much I love his work. If only he had a great line of hypnotherapy products to help people manage the emotional and mental aspect of their health… nudge, nudge.

These feet need a new dance

I am in a transition phase.

Got an itch, must scratch.

On my facebook profile I mentioned that I have a lot of frequent flier miles to use and asked for suggestions on where to go. I have had some really good proposals.

The most recent, and the one that prompted me to expose my plan, is an invite to Borneo. It has to do with saving the Orangutans. There are people working to save the Orangutans and help to increase the tourism to support the wildlife and their culture.

I’ve had offers to go to Germany, Ireland, Greece (this one is more than an offer, it is non-stop begging!), India, Borneo, Dubai, Alaska and a few others fascinating places in the world. My fans have the most fascinating lives all over the world and I have reached the point where I am unable to resist your offers.

Bonjour. (yes, I took french in high school)

I’ve been hatching an idea that came up when I was in France a couple of years ago.
I was driving on a winding road in a tiny town and stopped to ask directions at a little bakery. After some pointing and sign language I was on my way, but couldn’t shake the curiosity about the every day life of one woman who is making croissants every day in a little village in France.

What would it be like to live someone’s life, not just visit, but life their life for a week or so?

All over the world people do fascinating jobs, and find happiness in such unique ways. I think that moment started it all. We are all trying to be happy in our lives doing whatever it is we do.

And what brings us real happiness?
What makes you truly happy?

Lets Monkey around

You might feel that your life is ordinary and maybe even boring.
But to someone else from another country or culture your life might be an adventure.
And what if I could let all my beautiful friends and fans help me take a happiness tour around the world and share it with everyone.

It might just change your mind about what you are doing and give you the courage you need to make a change in your life. Or it might just be mildly entertaining to watch me shovel elephant poop. (seriously, this place www.ElephantStay.com is on my list)

The plan is in motion.
The initial idea is to let you decide where I will go and what I will do in the pursuit of happiness.With so many different ways to live passionately, or just to do what you love to do no matter how simple it seems, there are lots of cool things that you can share with the world.

What do you do that is unique?

Why does it make you happy?

How did you decide to live the life you are living?

I want to find out, in person. No matter where you are in the world and no matter what you do, it might become one of my destinations.

There is a little tech work to do. I need a website that lets people describe their life and the opportunity to come and live it. The site will need to let visitors vote on where they want me to go next, have the show videos of what makes your life so unique or simply happy. It needs a tracking map to show where I have been and where I am headed. If anyone wants to offer their tech services to create a site and maintain it, let me know right away.

Why can’t you just forget about it?

Can you really put the past
behind you?

On the show this week we talked about how to put the negative memories, events and other various emotionally devastating traumas in the past.

The show was on addiction, but the method of putting the past behind us is something everyone needs. Let’s face it, we are all struggling with things we did in the past. Or maybe we are fighting the memories of things that were done to us.

Maybe your obsessive thought is just an image of something you saw that you simply cannot get out of your head.

People always ask me if I can make them just forget it, erase it, or eliminate it.

It might be possible, but probably won’t be permanent and will still have the emotional content of that memory. And that emotional content is what causes all the trouble.

The emotional content of the memory floods the body with a release of chemicals, even years later. The chemicals continue to be released, but even worse, this affects how your cells reproduce.

What do do? How to change it?

Trying to use hypnosis to block the memory does not stop the chemical release of the emotional memory, so a better way to handle it, would be to change the content of the memory.

When you activate the feelings associated with the memory, and then look at it in a different way, you can change the emotional content.
For instance, if you had an embarrassing event years ago, you can look into that memory and ask your very wise inner self to find the positive lesson or the thing that you have decided as a result of this experience.

When you bring the positive lesson into the memory and put in the new emotions that go along with that new powerful belief, the memory no longer sends the chemicals of fear or sadness or guilt or anger into your body.

Make sense so far?

Anything that triggers the old memory is now met with a new response. The old memory didn’t go away, but the reaction has changed. If this process is done well there should be an entirely new feeling ( something like a “yippee I feel so dang good now” sort of reaction)  that results from the old memory being triggered.

And this is why even hard core addicts and alcoholics have totally eliminated their cravings.

You still with me?

Now- think about this.
You have 100s or 1000s or bazillions of these old memories running amok in your brain. They are not all causing havoc, but there are a few key ones that are totally helping you feel depressed, afraid, filled with anxiety, turning to drugs and alcohol and diving deep into hopelessness and despair.

Here’s the solution.
This is why people have miraculous healing.

The very real result of these crappy memories is how this affects our health. (not to mention your worthiness)
When you are depressed your immunity is compromised.
When you are angry your emotions cause damaging stress.
When you are stressed your body cannot fight off viruses, bacteria, cancer and disease.

Let’s change it.
It is really not as hard as it sounds.

Oooh, the snacks.


If you have been feeling the need to snatch and stuff, I have a plan.

I’ve been to a few too many parties this month and the one thing there is plenty of is high calorie snacks. They say that we gain 8 lbs over the holidays and with all the delicious fatty, salty, creamy deliciousness around us it is a challenge to stop the hand to mouth action.

I feel your pain!
I have some ideas about how to stop this. Obviously it has to do with exercise and eating, but it also has to do with stopping the mindless eating.

We have got to turn our CONSCIOUS awareness on before we grab the snacks. Easy, right?
Try a little mental rehearsal and activate your mindless self control. For instance, if you imagine yourself eating a bunch of snacks off a table, just hopelessly nibbling and tasting until the evening is over, you activate a set of responses in your brain that sets in motion the bigger problem. Once you turn that switch to “ON” your brain is in the full permission mode to eat anything and everything. Your brain is only going to continue to activate everything that supports that behavior.

However, if you do some mental rehearsal for conscious eating, imagining yourself with a small taste here and there, drinking water and hot tea, nibbling on veggies because they make you feel satisfied, and most of all staying CONSCIOUS before eating- you activate an entirely different set of actions. Your brain can only set in motion the self control and conscious enjoyment of healthy foods.

Eat, THINK and be MERRY.

I made 3 sessions that are going to knock this mindless eating out of the park.

Next I will create a subconscious switch that will make you totally let go of the food stuffing process.

The more raw foods, specially veggies, that you eat, the healthier and leaner you will be.

Your friends are making you obese

Have you heard?

The people you hang out with might be making you fat.

Shocking, but true.
This study (and why do they have to spend money to find this out) shows that teenagers who hang out together will get fatter together. If you are a human being and you also breathe air, this should not be a revelation.

We become what we think about, do, and act upon. If you surround yourself with people who like to eat and sit around and live a sedentary life, you will NOT become a long distance runner.
If you surround yourself with people who love to mountain bike, or hike, or kayak for their recreation, chances are very good that you will be in good physical shape.

And cleverly enough, the person in charge of this obesity study is named Fry. Coincidence?
Here is the explanation from the article on how friends let friends get fat.

Tam Fry, of the UK’s National Obesity Forum, said mounting evidence suggested the link was causative.

“Other work has shown that you take on the weight attributes of your friends more than other people surrounding you, like neighbours, even if your friends live many miles away.”

He said it boiled down to shared bad habits, like eating the wrong foods and not getting enough exercise.

It can be hard to lose weight, and easy to gain it. And we are obviously influence by the people we surround ourselves with, and if that is not enough we have to battle our food issues that were deeply ingrained in our childhood. I remember a news show about a young boy, about 8 years old, who was 50 lbs overweight. The mother insisted that she had tried everything and was not overfeeding him. When they took the boy away from mom and sent him to live with Dad he lost all the excess weight and said “It’s fun to go out and play soccer and run. I like broccoli and salads” and things to that effect. Our environment obviously affects our choices that result in how heavy we are. And your friends are your environment.

Let’s have a reality check.

What’s in your kitchen? (or tucked under the sofa cushion)
Do you have lots of sweet yummy snacks, microwavable fatty foods, sugary drinks, multiple flavors of ice cream?
OR
Do you have to prepare food when you are hungry, chop vegetables, make food out of actual ingredients?

What do you do first thing in the morning?
Go directly to the fridge to gobble down some food?
OR
Wait a little while, take a walk, stretch, do some writing?

When planning an outing with friends what is the agenda?
Do you plan the day or evening based on food or dessert (have you tried that new cupcake store that just opened?) and virtually nothing else? (Let’s go to the Chocolate/Slug/Shortcake/Fried festival today!)
Or
Do you plan to go to an art show, beach walk, game night, bike ride… that also happens to include a meal along the way?

Which friends are you choosing to spend the most time with?
Obviously, we didn’t need a study to figure out that fat teenagers hang out with other fat teens, or that kids with bad eating habits become obese adults.
